Many of our users ask us: when will there be an unlimited plan? In fact, Neatcar's core model was initially based on unlimited plans. However, when Neatcar was sold in November 2020, this business model no longer aligned with the values and mission that the new shareholders wanted to establish with the app, which was to offer an experience and strategy in the best interest of its users.
Unlimited plans operate on the same principle as insurance, meaning that, in general, people use it less than if they paid individually each time. Ultimately, the goal is for your subscription to be forgotten after you purchase it, which is not to your advantage.
Neatcar aims to help you maintain your vehicle in good condition. For a car driven year-round, it is recommended to visit a car wash 16 to 20 times a year. If you go more frequently, it’s likely because you want your car to look clean for aesthetic purposes. And that’s perfectly fine 😉
Let’s consider a frequency of 20 times a year for an express wash:
Payment at a station: $199.80 ($9.99/wash)*
With Neatcar: $168.80 ($6.99/wash + $29 for the Premium subscription)*
Unlimited Plan: $419 ($34.99/month)*
So, you would need to wash your car more than 55 times a year (1.05 times per week or 4.58 times per month) to make the Base/Express Unlimited Plan more cost-effective than Neatcar.

Let’s consider a frequency of 20 times a year for an Extra/Supreme wash:
Payment at a station: $279.80 ($13.99/wash)*
With Neatcar: $209 ($9/wash + $29 for the Premium subscription)*
Unlimited Plan: $539 ($44.99/month)*
So, you would need to wash your car more than 57 times a year (1.1 times per week or 4.75 times per month) to make the Extra/Supreme Unlimited Plan more cost-effective than Neatcar.

If you are a cleanliness enthusiast and go to the car wash several times a week, the unlimited plan might be a better option for you. However, keep in mind that such plans are often only available at a single location, unlike Neatcar. In other cases, our model remains the most cost-effective option. In fact, even if you only wash your car at the minimum recommended frequency (12 times/year), you’ll save between $7 and $31* by the end of the year.
